- Trial Phase
- Phase 3
- Time to Market
- ~3-4 years for global approval; China approval possible ~12-18 months post Hansoh filing
- Why 3/10
- No hard dated binary catalyst (PDUFA/pivotal topline) within the next ~12 months. GSK's global Phase 3 (NCT07099898) primary completion was pushed to Oct 2027. A positive Phase 3 (ARTEMIS-008) from licensor Hansoh in China was reported July 10, 2026, de-risking the mechanism, but GSK's own pivotal data is >1 year away, and GSK is a ~$85B diversified pharma — this single drug will not drive a large share-price move.
The ARTEMIS-008 Phase 3 win in China (positive OS vs topotecan in SCLC) is a major validation of the B7-H3 ADC mechanism, but for GSK investors the real catalyst is the global Phase 3 readout (primary completion now Oct 2027). Watch for China NDA filing timing and any early data from the ongoing EMBOLD/ARTEMIS expansion trials in prostate, NSCLC, and other solid tumors. With ~$1-2B peak sales potential (ex-China), risvutatug rezetecan is a meaningful but non-binary asset within GSK's broader pipeline.

Executive Summary
Risvutatug rezetecan (Ris-Rez) is GSK's investigational B7-H3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate, in-licensed from Hansoh Pharma (China) in Dec 2023 for $185M upfront. It has a novel mechanism pairing a B7-H3 antibody with a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload. On July 10, 2026, Hansoh announced positive Phase 3 (ARTEMIS-008) results in advanced/relapsed SCLC — the first positive Phase 3 overall survival data ever reported for a B7-H3 ADC. This validates the mechanism but was conducted only in China (Hansoh's territory). GSK's own global Phase 3 in SCLC began in Aug 2025 but won't read out until likely 2027-2028. The drug has FDA and Japan Orphan Drug Designations for SCLC. Outside SCLC, it's being explored in prostate, NSCLC, colorectal, head & neck, and GI cancers. GSK is also running combo trials with Summit's ivonescimab and Artios' alnodesertib. Peak sales estimates (ex-China) are $1-2B. For GSK (a ~$85B market cap pharma with $44.8B revenue), this is a promising mid-pipeline asset but not a make-or-break catalyst.
How It Works
An antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that works like a guided missile: one end binds to a protein called B7-H3 that's found on the surface of many cancer cells (but rarely on healthy cells), and the other end releases a chemotherapy payload (a topoisomerase I inhibitor) directly inside the tumor cell to damage its DNA and kill it.
Trial Status
Pivotal Phase 3 (ARTEMIS-008, China) met primary endpoint of overall survival in advanced/relapsed SCLC — first positive Phase 3 OS data for any B7-H3 ADC. Hansoh plans regulatory filing in China. GSK's global Phase 3 (NCT07099898, N=420, relapsed ES-SCLC) began Aug 2025, primary completion pushed to Oct 2027. Multiple Phase 1/2 studies ongoing across NSCLC, prostate, head & neck, colorectal, osteosarcoma, and GI cancers.
The Two-Sided Case
Upcoming Catalysts
- Hansoh regulatory NDA filing in China for SCLC (timing TBD following positive ARTEMIS-008 Phase 3)
- GSK global Phase 3 (NCT07099898) in relapsed ES-SCLC data — primary completion Oct 2027
- Phase 2 ARTEMIS-003 data maturation in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer
- Combination trial initiations with ivonescimab (Summit) and alnodesertib (Artios) in GI/other solid tumors
- Additional Phase 1b/2 data in NSCLC, head & neck, colorectal, and osteosarcoma at upcoming medical congresses
