- Trial Phase
- Approved
- Time to Market
- Already approved and commercialized (since January 2022). Label expansion into cutaneous melanoma depends on Phase 3 TEBE-AM data expected by end of 2026; if positive, an sBLA submission would follow, with potential approval in 2027-2028.
- Why 7/10
- KIMMTRAK is already FDA-approved and generating commercial revenue, so the next hard binary catalyst is the Phase 3 TEBE-AM topline data readout for label expansion into cutaneous melanoma, expected by end of 2026 (~4 months away). This is a pivotal readout on the company's sole commercial product that could double its addressable market, justifying a 7 on the impact scale.
The key near-term catalyst is the Phase 3 TEBE-AM topline readout for KIMMTRAK in cutaneous melanoma, expected by end of 2026 (~4 months away). A positive result could double the addressable market; a negative readout would be a major setback. With ~16.4% of shares short and ~18.8 days to cover, a positive readout could trigger significant short-covering upside. Watch for enrollment completion announcements and any data updates at medical meetings in H2 2026.

Executive Summary
KIMMTRAK (tebentafusp) is Immunocore's first-in-class FDA-approved ImmTAC bispecific T cell engager for metastatic uveal melanoma, a rare and aggressive eye cancer. Approved in January 2022, it generated $400M in FY2025 revenue (+29% YoY) and is the company's sole commercial product. The drug recently demonstrated five-year overall survival data showing it doubled survival rates versus control. The key upcoming catalyst is the Phase 3 TEBE-AM trial readout for cutaneous melanoma (a much larger market), expected by end of 2026. With a Strong Buy analyst consensus, $880M cash, elevated short interest (~16.4% of shares outstanding, ~18.8 days to cover), and a pivotal label-expansion readout approaching, the risk/reward is skewed positively but binary.
How It Works
KIMMTRAK is a bispecific T cell engager (called an ImmTAC) that works like a molecular bridge. One end grabs onto a protein called gp100 found on melanoma cancer cells, while the other end grabs onto CD3 receptors on the patient's own immune T cells. This forces the T cells to attack and kill the melanoma cells. It's the first approved drug of its kind (ImmTAC class) for a solid tumor.
Trial Status
KIMMTRAK is FDA-approved for metastatic uveal melanoma (Phase 3 IMAGE trial). The Phase 3 TEBE-AM trial for 2L+ advanced cutaneous melanoma is nearing enrollment completion (target ~540 patients), with topline data expected by end of 2026. Additional Phase 3 trials ongoing: PRISM-MEL-301 (brenetafusp in first-line advanced melanoma) and ATOM (adjuvant uveal melanoma). Five-year OS follow-up data from the pivotal Phase 3 trial were presented at AACR 2026, showing 16% survival vs 8% in control.
