Summary

This bill permanently amends the Internal Revenue Code to allow high deductible health plans (HDHPs) to cover telehealth and other remote care services without a deductible, without losing their HDHP status. Sec. 2, Exemption for telehealth services: The bill changes the tax code so that a health plan will still be considered a high deductible health plan even if it does not require a deductible for telehealth and other remote care services. It also removes a previous limitation that applied this rule only to certain months or plan years. These changes take effect for plan years starting after December 31, 2024.
