This bill requires event ticket sellers to clearly show the total price including all fees upfront. It defines key terms and sets enforcement rules.
Sec. 2, Definitions: Defines terms like 'event ticket', 'base event ticket price' (price without fees), 'total event ticket price' (price including all fees), 'event ticket fee' (mandatory charges like service fees, taxes), 'optional product or service' (not needed to use the ticket), 'secondary market ticket issuer' (resellers), and 'resale' (sale after initial sale).
Sec. 3, All-inclusive ticket price disclosure: Starting 120 days after enactment, ticket issuers and secondary sellers must display the total event ticket price clearly in ads and when first shown to buyers, and provide an itemized list of the base price and each fee.
Sec. 4, Enforcement: Violations are treated as unfair or deceptive acts under the Federal Trade Commission Act. The Federal Trade Commission enforces this law with the same powers and penalties as that Act, and nothing limits the Commission's other authority.
